What is the Council?
The Real Estate Council of Alberta is composed of twelve Council members, representing residential and commercial real estate, property management, mortgage brokers, real estate appraisers, and the public. Council members are responsible for determining, setting and enforcing standards of conduct and business practices for industry professionals, providing services that enhance and improve the industry, and administering the Real Estate Act, Bylaws, and Rules.
The mortgage brokerage industry has a seat on the Real Estate Council of Alberta where our industry's concerns, ideas and questions may be brought forth. Gary Siegle was elected by AMBA to represent the mortgage brokerage industry on Council in 2007, and since then Gary has ensured that RECA and AMBA have maintained a strong and positive working relationship, and continued to build upon a shared common interest of promoting a vibrant and growing mortgage brokerage industry, al the while ensuring the protection of the public interest.
