National Representation

AMBA proudly partners with Mortgage Professionals Canada (MPC) to ensure mortgage brokers nationwide are represented in federal policymaking. Together, we work toward a unified, influential voice on key national issues such as housing affordability, regulatory reform, and mortgage policy stability.

Why Advocacy Matters?

Your voice — combined with the collective representation of AMBA’s Members — strengthens our influence with regulators and legislative bodies. The greater our membership, the stronger our advocacy impact becomes.

Mortgage Industry Lobby Day

AMBA was proud to host our Mortgage Industry Lobby Day, a milestone initiative in our ongoing efforts to strengthen our Members’ collective voice and advocate for the mortgage broker profession at the provincial level.

In partnership with Alberta Counsel, our government relations consulting firm, AMBA leadership, Board members, Political Action Committee (PAC) representatives, and industry leaders met with Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) to discuss key issues impacting our industry.

Areas:

  • Improving mortgage associate education standards
  • Enhancing consumer education and financial literacy
  • Advocating for regulatory frameworks that reflect today’s marketplace

The day concluded with a reception for elected officials, providing an opportunity for meaningful dialogue and relationship-building.

Political Action Committee (PAC)

AMBA’s Political Action Committee strengthens our advocacy reach and ensures your voice is heard.

The PAC:

  • Leads MLA engagement and delivers AMBA’s key messages
  • Builds and maintains ongoing relationships with policymakers
  • Monitors legislative developments and recommends responses
  • Equips AMBA members with advocacy tools, training, and talking points

Its work ensures AMBA remains a credible, informed, and proactive advocate for Alberta’s mortgage industry.
