Voting for the 2026 Board of Directors is OPEN!

AMBA relies on a committed group of passionate individuals from the mortgage industry who serve on our Board of Directors. This esteemed group ensures effective decision-making, sets strategic priorities, and contributes to the association’s sustainability. AMBA’s 2026-2027 Board of Directors Election will offer leadership opportunities for Members interested in shaping our industry’s future.

The desired composition for AMBA’s 2026-2027 Board is that 55% of seats will be held by individuals from Brokerage Member companies, ensuring strong representation that reflects our membership base and their priorities.

Electing Directors

AMBA is electing 6 Directors to join our 11-Member Board for up to a 3-year term. The Board is seeking to maintain a balanced composition reflective of our membership and anticipates the following mix of candidates for the 6 open seats:

  • Approximately 4 Individual Brokerage Members
  • Approximately 2 Individual Industry Partner Members

Key Election Dates

Nominations are open from March 11 through April 2, 2026

Members may self-nominate and/or nominate another Member using the online nomination form.

If a Member is nominated by someone else, they can accept or decline the nomination.

Nominees must be AMBA Members for at least one full year before being nominated and must reside in Alberta.

Former Directors who have been off the Board for at least two years may run for election again. Upon returning, they are treated as first-time candidates and are eligible to serve up to two consecutive terms.

Voting runs from April 7 through April 20, 2026

AMBA Members cast one vote per open Director seat. AMBA is electing six (6) Directors in 2026, meaning Members will cast six (6) votes.

Members will receive an email from our secure third-party voting platform that includes their unique voting ID and key.

Results will be announced on April 21 and April 22

Candidates will be notified of election results on April 21.

Election results will be shared with all AMBA Members on April 22.

The 2026-2027 Board of Directors will be officially sworn in on May 7, 2026, ​at AMBA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM).
