The Alberta Mortgage Brokers Association (“AMBA”) and its Board of Directors are committed to protecting the privacy, accuracy, confidentiality, and security of all information entrusted to us. We collect only the information necessary to fulfill our mission and provide professional, competent services to our Members.  

 This information is used for the following purposes: 

1. To establish and maintain responsible relationships with Members and provide ongoing service 
2. To understand Member needs 
3. To develop, enhance, market, or deliver programs and services 
4. To manage and grow AMBA’s business and operations 
5. To meet legal and regulatory requirements

By using amba.ca (the “Site”), you agree to the following terms: 

1. Information entered on the Site may be entered into customer relationship management software used by AMBA and disclosed to an associated online community.

AMBA does not collect personal information about visitors to the Site unless it is specifically and knowingly provided by you.

This information may be used to respond to your inquiries, provide requested resources, or request additional details. We also collect, use, and process information you provide when you engage in AMBA activities, including but not limited to:

2. Registering for or attending events or educational sessions (virtual or in-person) 
3. Joining as a Member or becoming an authorized user on our membership platforms 
4. Contacting AMBA staff or representatives by email, phone, or in person

An IP address is a unique number automatically assigned to your device when you access the Internet. Our web servers use IP addresses to deliver content and manage system administration. We may collect IP addresses to generate aggregate reports and monitor Site usage; however, these addresses are not typically linked to personally identifiable information, meaning your session remains anonymous. 

In certain cases, AMBA may use IP addresses to identify users if necessary to enforce our Terms of Use or protect our website, activities, or Members. 

AMBA also collects and maintains anonymous statistical data, such as Site visit counts, dates and pages visited, referring website addresses, browser types, and IP addresses. This information is used strictly for internal purposes to improve our Site.

AMBA may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to stay compliant with legal requirements and reflect changes in how we collect or use information. When updates occur, we will revise the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. We encourage users to review this policy periodically to stay informed.
