With a name like Jean-Guy (pronounced Zhaun-Gee), many people think I was born and raised in Quebec, but I was born and raised in Bonnyville, Alberta on a large acreage where I was taught the small town values of integrity, loyalty and to treat others as you would want to be treated.
I moved to Red Deer in 2001 when I was offered a position as a Business Development Manager for an automotive lender just set up shop in Canada, which essentially meant that I taught automotive finance managers about our lending products
With all the strong contacts I made at all of the dealerships in Red Deer, I was well sought after, and ended up working at a couple of different dealerships where I made lasting relationships with many clients whom I’m still in contact with today and whom I’ve helped many become homeowners!
I finally made the decision to obtain my Mortgage Brokering license in 2006 after many years of helping my clients finance and/or rebuild their lives via an automotive loan.
The automotive industry is where I found my passion, the Mortgage Profession is where I now pursue it...and it is -To help people obtain their homeownership dreams. I do this by educating my clients throughout all the steps of a mortgage whether it be purchasing your first or last home, or refinancing it. It doesn’t end there, as one takes a journey through homeownership, one doesn’t realize all the little things that go along with owning a home.
S Being a partner at Regional Mortgage allows me to give back to the community in many ways, not only by helping all of my fantastic clients obtain their dream homes. Being associated with such a great group at Regional Mortgage gives me a chance to provide the quality of service one wants but seldom receives as we go above and beyond to make your experience one that you’ll never forget an you’ll tell all of your friends about.
In keeping with our long-standing tradition, Regional Mortgage isn’t just about mortgages, we enjoy being part of the charitable communities where ever our agents reside. Regional Mortgage and many other great people founded the golf tournament in 2001 and the Build a kid to Cure which began in 2007. Both charities contribute directly to children’s cancer research and other various local charities in the Red Deer region. To date, we’ve helped raise over $2M for these charities.
Personally, I spend a lot of time with my beautiful wife Mari and sons Hudson and Braedan. We spend a lot of time during the week at parks chasing the boys around to soccer, skiing and whatever else they are into at the time or simply going for a walk or bike ride. On weekends, we enjoy golfing, skiing, hiking on mountain adventures and or lazing around with friends.
Thank you for reading and sharing, we at Regional Mortgage Group look forward to helping you with your goals of homeownership.
