Alberta Mortgage Brokers Association Terms and Conditions
Effective: March 5, 2026
These terms and conditions (the “Agreement”) govern the use of amba.ca (the “Site”).
Whereas:
- The Alberta Mortgage Brokers Association (“AMBA”) is the registrant of amba.ca (including all pages and links).
- AMBA allows users to access and use amba.ca under the Agreement outlined below, as amended from time to time.
- By using the Site, you agree to the Agreement. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site.
AMBA may update this Agreement periodically. The version in effect at the time of your use applies.
License
Subject to these terms, AMBA grants you permission to:
- View, download, and print content from the Site for personal use.
- Stream audio and video hosted on the Site.
- Use tools and services provided on the Site.
Acceptable Use
You agree to:
- Not interfere with the operation of the Site.
- Not alter site content unless clearly intended by AMBA.
- Not attempt to bypass access restrictions.
- Not collect data systematically (e.g., scraping, data mining) without written consent.
- Not harass or mistreat other users of the Site.
- Provide accurate and truthful information when requested.
- Not reproduce or distribute Site content except for personal use.
Accounts
When you create an account on our Site, you agree to:
- Use only your own account.
- Provide up-to-date, accurate, and truthful information and will update your personal information if it changes.
- Not share account access.
- Notify AMBA immediately of unauthorized use.
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account.
- Permit AMBA to enter information provided to the Site into customer relationship management software, and disclose it to an associated online community.
AMBA reserves the right to deny or revoke access at any time without notice.
Sales of Goods and Services
This Agreement governs the sale of goods and services on our Site, which will be paid for in full when the services are ordered. All information, descriptions, and images that we provide about our goods and services are as accurate as possible.
All purchases of goods and services on our Site are nonrefundable without exception.
We reserve the right to modify, reject, or cancel your order when it becomes necessary. If your order has already been processed, we will give you a refund equal to the amount you paid. You agree that it is your responsibility to monitor your payment instrument to verify receipt of any refund.
Payments
AMBA accepts the following payment methods on our Site:
- Credit Card
- Interac e-Transfer
When you provide us with your payment information, you authorize our use of and access to the payment instrument you have chosen to use. By providing us with your payment information, you authorize us to charge the amount due to this payment instrument.
If we believe your payment has violated any law or this Agreement, we reserve the right to cancel or reverse your transaction.
Warranties and Liability
AMBA and our directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries, and affiliates will not be liable for any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses including legal fees from your use of the Site. AMBA also:
- Does not guarantee completeness, accuracy, or currency of site content.
- May change content without notice.
- Is not liable for reliance on site information, data loss, or any indirect or consequential damages.
Breaches
If you violate this Agreement, AMBA may:
- Suspend or cancel your account.
- Block your IP address or request your ISP to block access.
- Pursue legal action for damages.
Failure to act immediately does not waive AMBA’s rights.
Copyright
All content and intellectual property on amba.ca is owned by AMBA and protected by law. This includes, but is not limited to images, text, logos, documents, downloadable files, and anything that contributes to the composition of our Site.
Severability
If at any time an of the provisions set forth in this Agreement are found to be inconsistent or invalid under applicable laws, those provisions will be deemed void and will be removed from the Agreement. The remaining provisions will not be affected by the removal and will remain in effect.
Law and Jurisdiction
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada. The courts of Alberta have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
