Who We Are

The Alberta Mortgage Brokers Association is the only provincial organization dedicated to advancing Alberta’s licensed mortgage professionals through advocacy, professional development, and community.

Since 1975, we’ve helped shape the future of the industry by elevating professional standards, strengthening public trust, and supporting more than 2,000 Members across the province.

Our Vision

A thriving industry where Albertans trust licensed mortgage professionals as their first choice for mortgage financing.

Our Mission

To advance the success of Alberta’s mortgage professionals through advocacy, education, and community, while strengthening public trust.

Our Values

We are guided by the principles that matter most to the Members we serve:
Accountability, Community, Adaptability, Excellence, and Solutions-Oriented.

Our values shape every interaction, every initiative, and every decision we make, ensuring AMBA remains a trusted partner to professionals, regulators, and Albertans seeking expert mortgage guidance.

Our Strategic Direction

AMBA’s 2024–2026 Strategic Plan is built on extensive Member feedback and a comprehensive analysis of the political, economic, and technological forces shaping the mortgage landscape. It reflects the strength of our engaged membership, the importance of strong stakeholder relationships, and our commitment to leading the industry forward with clarity, stability, and purpose.

Our strategic priorities focus on:

  • Strengthening advocacy to ensure Alberta’s mortgage professionals have a unified and influential voice.
  • Expanding professional development with education that meets evolving industry needs.
  • Nurturing community through meaningful connections, partnerships, and shared expertise.
  • Enhancing standards to uphold trust and support the long‑term health of the profession.
Together, these priorities reinforce our role as the provincial leader in mortgage professionalism.
