Professional Standards Committee
Based on authority granted by the Board of Directors through the Bylaws, the Professional Standards Committee is an investigative and disciplinary body that has been charged with investigating and assessing penalties to Members who breach AMBA’s Code of Conduct.
We are looking for 5 to 7 members, including at least 1 Director and 2 non-Director members, with the option to include a public member. If a Hearing Panel Subcommittee cannot be formed due to insufficient members, the committee may expand to a maximum of 9 members. The AMBA CEO is a non-voting ex-officio member.
Key responsibilities include:
• Provide written recommendations on the Annual Code of Conduct Review, including concerns, best practices, and changes
• Recommend improvements to the efficiency, fairness, and effectiveness of AMBA’s Code of Conduct Policy & Practice
• Conduct investigations, complete reports, recommend penalties/remedies, and prepare consent agreements as needed
• Select Hearing Panel members while considering conflicts of interest
• Select Appeal Committee members when required, ensuring no conflicts of interest
• Attend meetings, review materials, accept delegated work, and uphold AMBA’s Code of Conduct
Attend meetings on:
• June 18 or 19, 2025: TBD (Training)
• July 9, 2025: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
• Oct. 8, 2025: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
• Jan. 14, 2026: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
• April 8, 2026: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
